The Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) was created in June 2009, bringing all of the levers of the economy together in one place in order to lead the drive for sustainable economic growth as the Government’s number one priority. The Department's remit is to build a dynamic and competitive UK economy by creating the conditions for business success, promoting innovation, enterprise and science, and giving everyone the skills and opportunities to succeed. It leads the UK Forward Commitment Procurement programme, which was the inspiration for LCB Healthcare.

European Health Property Network

 

EuHPN is a non-profit network of European governmental and research organisations with interests in the design, planning and financing of all forms of health property, from hospitals to health centres. The network exists to allow members to pool and share knowledge, and to keep pace with leading edge developments in this area of healthcare. EuHPN’s membership includes health planners, healthcare architects, capital investment experts, senior clinicians and hospital CEOs, and a number of leading academic figures.

Dutch Centre for Health Assets (Netherlands)

 

The Dutch Centre for Health Assets (DuCHA) was established in 2009 by the Ministry of Health and TNO, the Netherlands organisation for Applied Scientific Knowledge. It is the Netherlands prime source for information, research, expert consultancy services and best practices in the field of healthcare assets. It operates as a business unit within TNO and produces innovation support expertise for both public and private partners.

Directorate for Health Affaires (Norway)

 

The Directorate of Health Affaires is part of the Ministry of Health and Social Care in Norway. It is represented in the project by SINTEF Health Research, which manages the Norwegian Competence Network for Hospital Planning (CNHP). The steering committee of the CNHP consists of the Directorate of Health plus the Directors for Facilities Management of the four Regional Health Authorities.

Rawicz Hospital (Poland)

 

The Rawicz County Hospital services the inhabitants of Rawicz County in Wielkopolskie Voivodship as well as neighbouring districts. The hospital is one of three first level reference institution in Poland and recently underwent voluntary transformation into a company with a view to raising capital for the development of hospital infrastructure. The hospital plans to invest some €10 million in modernising its premises, fixtures and medical equipment

The Department of Health is the UK Government Department that is responsible for health and social care issues in England. It provides strategic leadership to the NHS and social care organisations that deliver services to the public. Its work includes setting national standards, shaping the direction of health and social care services and promoting healthier living. The NHS published its Carbon Reduction Strategy for England in 2009.
