Nottingham University Hospital Market Sounding Launched

A market sounding exercise was launched on the 28th November 2011 to initiate a dialogue with the supply chain over the Trust’s requirement for new approaches delivering and managing the supply and demand of energy to deliver cost effective reductions in carbon emissions.

Market sounding is being carried out in advance of an invitation of tender, which we expect to publish in Spring 2012. The market sounding and any subsequent consultation with suppliers will help us to define the scope and specification of the tender and decide the optimal procurement approach. This pre-procurement dialogue will also help to streamline the procurement process. Click here to download the full Market Sounding and Call for Innovative Solutions document.

Who should respond to this consultation?
Any part of the supply chain that can contribute for example: provide low carbon energy solutions, contribute to energy efficiency of the Trust’s buildings and operations, manage construction and infrastructure projects, help finance a solution, and indeed any supplier who can contribute to the project in a way that we have not envisaged.

How to respond?
Please refer to the Market Sounding Prospectus sets out the current situation at the Trust and the requirement and return the Market Sounding Response Form before the end of January 2012.
We also recommend that you attend the Site Visit on the Monday 16 January 2012.

Register for the site visit by emailing your name and contact detail to ultralowcarbon@nuh.nhs.uk.
